
Cathie Wood was born on November 26, 1955, and grew up in California. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 1977, majoring in finance and economics. In the early 1980s, she began to emerge in the capital markets. In her early career, she worked at Jennison Associates and Tupelo Capital. Later, in 1998, she became the chief investment strategist of AllianceBernstein, managing more than $5 billion in assets.
