Is being asked to deposit more money a scam?
If a broker asks clients to deposit additional funds in order to release withdrawals, access profits, or avoid account suspension, it is almost always a scam. Regulated brokers never require traders to pay extra just to withdraw. Scam brokers may call these requests “margin fees,” “clearance charges,” or “taxes.” Once paid, withdrawals remain blocked and further demands often follow. Traders should refuse such requests and attempt to withdraw existing funds immediately. Reporting these brokers to regulators and financial authorities is the best course of action. Extra deposit requests are one of the clearest scam warning signs.
